Game Balls: 5 Highlights From the Steelers’ Win Over the Broncos

For the second week in a row, the Pittsburgh Steelers used a strong defense to force their way to victory. Several guys stepped up in a big way and we saw several guys reach career milestones in the win over the Denver Broncos. Let’s hand out some game balls after the win.

Safety Damontae Kazee lost his starting position to DeShon Elliott, but his key interception late in the game sealed the Steelers’ victory.

After missing his entire rookie season with injury, it was great to see Cory Trice make his first NFL interception on Sunday.

The Steelers signed Corliss Waitman off the street to replace Cameron Johnston and he produced eight points and averaged 53 yards per point.

The Steelers have scored one touchdown in eight quarters, and it happened to happen on Sunday. It was the first NFL touchdown for tight end Darnell Washington.

Watt finished with one sack, two tackles defensed, two quarterback hurries and one pass defensed on Sunday. He remains the team’s best defensive layer and one of the best in the entire NFL.
