LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A disturbance is moving through Nebraska on Tuesday, bringing scattered showers and possibly a thunderstorm this afternoon, mainly in eastern Nebraska.

After another mix of sun and clouds to start the day, we should see partly cloudy skies in the afternoon. Highs will climb into the upper 70s and low 80s.

Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning will be mostly clear and cooler, with lows around 40 degrees.

Lots of sunshine is expected on Wednesday and it will be slightly warmer with highs between 20 and 27 degrees.

The 7-day has little variation when it comes to our highs, as highs of 70 to low 80 are forecast, which is close to average for late September. Slight rain chances remain in the forecast for the coming weekend.
