JoJo Siwa’s Crystal-Encrusted Abdominal Corset Has Made Her a Global Meme

If I’m being honest, JoJo Siwa wasn’t on my 2024 bingo card this year, but still… Again.

For those of you who more often than not see “more” instead of “less” on your weekly screen time notification, you probably already know which image and outfit I’m referring to when I say that JoJo Siwa has become a meme again.

If you’re not up to date on the drama surrounding social media, I’d be happy to be your expert teacher on the subject.

Yesterday, the 21-year-old singer and former Dancing mothers star revealed that she’s the face of LADYGUNN Magazine’s September cover. While it’s not unusual for a celebrity to grace the cover of a magazine, it’s JoJo’s crystal-encrusted ensemble that has caused quite the conversation.

Posing in a jeweled chest plate designed to resemble a muscular male body and a matching jockstrap designed to resemble a muscular male body you know whatJoJo commanded the camera, showing off her biceps in Greek God style.

The crystal creation was created by New York City-based designer Kyle Farmery, who is also known by the nickname “The King of Bling.”

Like every Instagram post, the social media domain had a lot to say about Jojo and her ensemble. One comment, which now has over 12k likes: “No hate, I’m honestly just confused.”

This year, JoJo Siwa has made it abundantly clear that she is done with the child star spotlight, and has pivoted from her early dancing and Nickelodeon career to a pop artist. Earlier this year in April, JoJo released their song Karmawhich, like the recent cover shoot, gained a lot of attention online, as the music video (which has now been viewed 49 million times on YouTube) featured the singer in various embellished catsuits, performing choreographic dances on a moonlit beach.

Not long after Karma dropped, she posted a video of herself dancing in an orange fluorescent vest on TikTok to her song Guiltywhich quickly became a worldwide meme.

Whether you like JoJo’s recent ensemble or not, she would undeniably take the over-the-top multi-colored diamond-encrusted crown of most talked about outfits. Without a doubt.
