Today on Pinstripe Alley – 10/10/24

Thanks to Giancarlo Stanton and the steadfast Yankee bullpen, New York once again has the lead in this ALDS and can close it out with a win tonight. They run back out with their ace Gerrit Cole, looking to bounce back from a bad night to open the series back in the Bronx, and depending on the results of the earlier game in the day, it could be the first to win an ALCS gets a place.

We still have last night’s results in mind, though, and Matt starts us off with the Playoff Roundup. Then Sam talks about our Player of the Game win for Game 3 (spoiler: he showed power and speed!), Peter chimes in with some more thoughts on what the Yankees showed in yesterday’s win, and Casey shares his experience with the intensity watching playoffs.

Division Series Game 4 Schedule:

Detroit Tigers vs Cleveland Guardians
(Tigers lead, 2-1)

(TBA vs. RHP Tanner Bibee)
Time: 6:08 PM ET
Television: TBS
Location: Comerica Park, Detroit, MI

Kansas City Royals vs New York Yankees
(Yankees lead, 2-1)

(RHP Michael Wacha vs. RHP Gerrit Cole)
Time: 8:08 PM ET
Television: TBS
Location: Kauffman Stadium, Kansas City, MO

Questions/clues:

1. Will we see a vintage Gerrit Cole start tonight to close out the series, or will it be another terrifying one-run game?

2. What do you think about the Mets toppling the Phillies? Will the Tigers follow suit and end Cleveland’s year today?
