Nita and Mukesh Ambani pay their last respects to Ratan Tata and meet Noel Tata, N Chandrasekaran | Popular

Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta Ambani arrived at Mumbai’s National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA) to pay respects to Ratan Tata, who passed away late last night at the age of 86.

Mukesh and Nita Ambani also met Tata’s half-brother Noel Tata and Chairman of Tata Sons and Tata Group N Chandrasekaran. The Ambanis are seen folding their hands in a somber greeting to the two men before presenting a wreath of flowers.

After news of Tata’s demise broke, industrialist Mukesh Ambani was one of the first industry stalwarts to express his condolences.

“It is a very sad day for India and India Inc. Ratan Tata’s demise is a great loss, not only for the Tata Group, but for every Indian. On a personal level, the passing away of Ratan Tata has filled me with immense sadness as I lost a dear friend,” Mukesh Ambani said in a statement.

“Each of my numerous interactions with him gave me inspiration and energy and strengthened my respect for the nobility of his character and the fine human values ​​he embodied. Ratan Tata was a visionary industrialist and philanthropist, who always strived for the common good,” he said. Earlier, Mukesh Ambani’s daughter Isha Ambani had arrived at NCPA along with her husband Anand Piramal.

Among those present were Maharashtra politicians Raj Thackeray, Sharad Pawar, Supriya Sule, Uddhav Thackeray, Aditya Thackeray and Home Minister Amit Shah, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis. Actor Aamir Khan also arrived to pay his respects to Ratan Tata.

Ratan Tata’s half-brother, Jimmy Naval Tata, pictured in a wheelchair, was also photographed. Tata’s close aide and aide Shantanu Naidu also made it to NCPA.
