NFL Week 4 Odds, Picks

Pittsburgh Steelers (-1.5) over INDIANAPOLIS COLTS

We originally had the Steelers at home over the Chargers last week, but we switched to the Buccaneers at the last minute and put up 6.5 points on the woeful Broncos.

That went as well as the death of Anthony Richardson.

Anyway, this week we’re backing the Steelers as road favorites against a Colts team that is struggling.

Indianapolis’ home win over the Bears last week hardly inspired confidence, with one of the worst interceptions you’ll ever see from Richardson.

Facing a Steelers defense that leads the league in yards allowed per game is not a rebound situation for a quarterback who is off his game.

While Richardson struggles, Justin Fields is saving his career in the Steel City, and this could be the week where we really see him show his dual-threat form against a Colts team that is allowing 179 rushing yards per game.

Expect Pittsburgh to pull out a tight win on the road.

Washington Commanders (+3.5) over ARIZONA CARDINALS

If we get off the hook here, we’ll be prepared to support the commanders in the desert.

We recognize that Marvin Harrison Jr., if healthy, will leave, as every No. 1 receiver facing the Commanders this year is out: Mike Evans (six catches for 61 yards, two touchdowns), Malik Nabers (10 -127 -1) and Ja’Marr Chase (6-118-2).

The downside is that the Cardinals defense isn’t ready to stop Jayden Daniels, who has led 14 straight scoring drives after Monday’s heroics against the Bengals.

Betting on the NFL?

If he really builds a bond with Terry McLaurin, the Commander’s offense could be quite good this year.

There’s certainly a chance for an outright upset in this one, but we like Washington’s chances of keeping it close regardless.

The Cardinals could also be without Trey McBride, who is in the concussion protocol.

Last week: 1-1. Foals (W), Buccaneers (L)
Season: 1-5.
