Broncos RB Tyler Badie (back) was carted off the board

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – Denver Broncos running back Tyler Badie was placed on a board by medical personnel and taken on a cart to the team’s locker room early in the second quarter against the New York Jets on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.

On a minus-4 yards reception on the Broncos’ final play of the first quarter, Jets linebacker Quincy Williams tackled Badie from behind when Williams’ helmet struck Badie in the lower back on the play.

Badie walked to the bench after the game, with his hand against his back. Once in the bench area, Bronco medical staff had Badie lie on a board and strapped him down before taking him away in a cart.

The Broncos said Badie suffered a back injury and was out for the rest of the game.

Badie, who played on the Broncos’ practice squad for the entire 2023 season and the first three weeks of this season, was promoted to the active roster this week. He entered the game with 86 yards on 10 carries.
