LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — More companies have taken legal action against Formula 1 and the Las Vegas Grand Prix after claiming they have been negatively impacted by construction and traffic changes.

Battista’s Hole in the Wall and Stage Door have jointly filed a lawsuit against the Las Vegas Grand Prix for “tortious interference with commercial rights” and are seeking damages.

We have previously spoken to these companies about how they want to be reimbursed for the loss of profit at the 2023 Grand Prix.

“We’re not trying to make any extra money out of this, we just want the money we lost,” Randy Markin previously told Channel 13. Markin is the owner of Battista’s and a manager at Stage Door. In previous interviews with Channel 13, he said his businesses lost about $5 million last year.

This isn’t the only lawsuit a Las Vegas company is filing against the Grand Prix.

In court documents, Ellis Island Hotel and Casino alleges that the street changes have hindered, compromised and negatively impacted its business operations. They are seeking a jury trial and damages.

Lisa Mayo-DeRiso, who is acting as spokeswoman for a collective of companies affected by Formula 1, including Battista’s and Stage Door, gave the following statement to Channel 13:
