Josh Hines-Allen speaks after Jaguars beat Colts

Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Josh Hines-Allen spoke to the media after the Jaguars’ 37-34 win over the Indianapolis Colts, and we were to blame.

To listen, watch above.

Jaguars rookie receiver Brian Thomas Jr. also spoke after the match. Below is a transcript of what he had to say.

Question: On your first win as a Jaguar?

Thomas: “Yes, it feels great to be able to show up here in Everbank and get our first win. It’s a great feeling. I’m just happy to be part of this team and just proud of the way we went out and fought until the end. That was very important for us: to come out and just finish it. So I’m proud of the way we fought today.”

Q: On the touchdown pass?

Thomas: “Yeah, when I saw him do the trigger, I thought Trev (QB Trevor Lawrence) had thrown the ball to someone short. So I looked back, and I saw it in the sky and I thought, that can’t be right. I realized they had made a mistake in their reporting and my mind was wide open.”

Q: What if he thought he could beat everyone with the touchdown pass?

Thomas: “Yeah, once I got him, I knew I was just going to turn on the jets, trying to get my Madden speed up a bit.”

Q: About his reaction to being clocked at 35 km/h?

Thomas: “Yes, that’s pretty good.”

Q: What it means to fight back and achieve this victory?

Thomas: “Like I said, that was a big emphasis, to get out and just finish. We’ve had games where we were close but we just weren’t ready yet, so that was a big emphasis for us, to just get out there and finish. It feels great to be able to say we did that.”

Q: About the success of RB Tank Bigsby?

Thomas: “Yes, it’s great to see Tank having so much success. Once he gets going it’s a chance for the receivers to open up a little bit, it just works together that way. We’re all working together, it’s great to see him having a great game.”

Q: If this was the kind of offense we’ve been waiting to see?

Thomas: “Yes, this is what we did in practice, this is what we have been waiting for. We know we had to come out and keep fighting and then it would show.”

Q: How special is it to have his family here for his first win?

Thomas: “It’s just great to have them here for every game they make. It’s just super special to have them here for my first win. It’s a blessing.”

Question: If he wants to go to London?

Thomas: “Yes, I’m super excited. It’s the first time I’m going abroad. I’m super excited.”
