The premise of the song is that he has died and is sending a message to his daughter Hailie Jade from the afterlife. It directly references his 2004 hit ‘Mockingbird’, both in the lyrics and in the music video itself. The video features family photos and home videos of Hailie from her childhood, as well as footage from her wedding day. In the final minute, she is shown handing her father a blue sweater with “OPA” printed on the back and an ultrasound image.

Hailie is 28 and married her longtime partner, Evan McClintock, last May in a lavish ceremony in Battle Creek, Michigan.
