CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – South 1st Street from Elliot Avenue to Lankford Avenue has been reopened following reports of shots fired early Tuesday morning.

According to the Charlottesville Police Department, officers responded to the area around 12:07 a.m. after multiple reports of shots fired.

Upon arrival, shell casings were found on the road.

There are no reports of injury at this time.
