Averages of presidential polls in battleground states as of September 26

play

With just under six weeks to go, the countdown to Election Day has begun.

It was an eventful election cycle with President Joe Biden officially dropping out of the race on July 21 after the June 27 debate against former President Donald Trump and voicing his support for Vice President Kamala Harris.

Since then, both the Republican National Convention and the Democratic National Convention have taken place and the vice presidential candidates have been chosen.

On September 10, Harris and Trump faced off in the first and only scheduled presidential debate ahead of the November 5 election.

Now one question remains: who will be the next President and Vice President of the United States, Harris and Tim Walz or Trump and JD Vance?

While polls and polling averages vary and are constantly changing, they provide a glimpse into the current state of the presidential race.
