19-year-old injured in shooting in downtown Lincoln, police say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – A man was injured in a shooting late Thursday night in downtown Lincoln, police said.

At around 11:15 p.m., officers were monitoring traffic at Canopy Street and Q Street when “numerous” shots were heard.

A 19-year-old man was shot, LPD said. He was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury.

An investigation is still ongoing, but researchers believe there is no continuing danger to the public.
