1 Dead After 3 Separate Shootings Last Night | KLIN

Lincoln police have released additional details about three separate shooting incidents that occurred Saturday through early Sunday morning.

At approximately 1:30 a.m. Sunday, LPD officers responded to a fight in the 100 Block of North 11th Street. Two shooting victims were located and taken to an area hospital.

One victim, a 24-year-old Lincoln man, was initially listed in critical condition and died just before 5:40 a.m. His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The other victim, a forty-year-old man, is in stable condition in hospital, but his life is not in danger.

At approximately 11:30pm Saturday night, LPD and LFR responded to 33rd and Holdrege where multiple shots were reported and a 20 year old Lincoln woman was found injured. Social media indicates she may have been shot multiple times and is in stable condition at a local hospital. A suspect is being sought.

Earlier Saturday night, a weapons violation was reported in the area of ​​North 20th and Cornhusker Highway. A caller to the LPD told officers that 51-year-old David Blackburn of Lincoln had fired multiple shots into the building following a verbal altercation.

Bullet holes were found in the passenger side of a vehicle and six bullet holes were found in a wall near the door where the caller had been.

Blackburn was found at a nearby hotel with the firearm and was arrested and jailed. He is charged with attempted second-degree assault, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony, discharging a firearm near a vehicle/building, and terroristic threats.

All investigations are ongoing and Lincoln Police are asking anyone with information, including video footage of these events, to call the non-emergency number at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600 if they wish to remain anonymous.
