A fitness fanatic has been criticised after sharing her work outfits, which included ‘wild’ shorts.

The woman claiming to be a high school teacher, Myranda Bursey, caused a stir earlier this summer with a clip showing off her school look.

The now-viral video, which has been viewed more than 2 million times, shows the fitness star wearing various items of clothing in what appears to be an empty classroom.

One of the looks consisted of a pair of comfortable, high-waisted sports shorts that showed off her muscular legs, as well as a tight blue cardigan and a pair of white sneakers.

Another outfit featured the same baggy shorts that the blonde beauty had styled with an oversized zip-up jacket, while carrying a drunken twat in her protein shake.

For the third day of the final week of the school year, the fitness enthusiast wore tight-fitting black shorts with a white T-shirt, a loose gray zip-up hoodie and classic Vans sneakers for shoes.

Another comfortable look that her students Myranda showed off during her class was an all-black look consisting of an oversized T-shirt and black long-legged shorts.

The next day, the avid athlete wore classic denim shorts, a tight black printed T-shirt and black Converse sneakers.

The sportswear enthusiast, who is completely happy with her outfits, wrote in the caption: ”Incoming rant: The end of the school year is such a mixed bag.

”I am SO looking forward to the next few months of spending quality time with my friends and family, but I am also incredibly sad that I have to leave my students and work family behind.

“I feel like teachers glorify the fact that we have the summer off, but no one mentions that we spend 7 hours a day, 5 days a week for 10 months opening up, making connections, and starting a family, only to say goodbye every year.”

“It’s one of the hardest things about being a teacher.”

She continued: “If my students take one thing away from this year, I hope they know 1. how amazing they are, 2. how much they are loved, and 3. the impact they have had on me.”

But despite the emotional and heartfelt caption, it wasn’t so much her thoughts that caught the attention. Most social media users were more surprised by her ‘work attire’.

One stunned Instagram user said: “America is wild… we would be sent home if we showed up like that in the UK.”

Another agreed, writing: “Shorts are waaaaay too short, sorry.”

“No… sorry, but Shorts is not a professional teacher,” wrote a third, while someone reminded her that she was “going to teach, not lift weights.”

“If you want to dress like that around children, that’s a big warning sign,” one person said, while another described the outfits as “wild.”

Do teachers adhere to a dress code?

The NEU does not recommend formal dress codes for staff in schools.

The NEU believes that employees should be able to dress as they see fit, unless it is detrimental to their ability to do their job or is otherwise considered unsafe or inappropriate for an objective and reasonable reason.

Schools should take into account the following principles:

• Employees have the right to expect respect for their religious beliefs, cultural practices and gender identity.
• Clothing should not hinder teaching, learning and assessment.
• The health and safety of students and staff must be assessed.
• Consultation with staff is an essential principle.
• Each case must be assessed on its own merits in the light of the principles set out in this Directive.

However, not everyone found the appearance a problem, which led to great division.

A fan shared his opinion, writing: ”From a school psychologist: The way you dress makes children feel more comfortable and helps them build trusting and positive relationships. It’s appropriate for the work environment and the children don’t see you as someone who is out of touch with the world, but someone who understands them.”

Another agreed, adding: “You look so cute girl!!! And your energy is so infectious! Keep up the good work.”
