RENO, Nevada (KOLO) –UPDATE 3:25 PM: According to Washoe County Emergency Management, people near the wildfire in Davis Creek Regional Park should be evacuated.

People can evacuate to the South Valleys Library at 15650A Wedge Parkway.

UPDATE 15:10: IInterstate 580 is closed in both directions from Bellevue in the Washoe Valley to the Mount Rose Highway due to a wildfire near Davis Creek Regional Park, the Nevada Department of Transportation said.

ORIGINAL STORY: SMultiple fire departments have been dispatched to the Davis Creek Regional Park area for a wildfire burning about 7.5 acres, Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue reported Saturday afternoon.

TMFR asked people to avoid the area.

Scanner traffic shows the road from US 395 to Bowers Mansion and Davis Creek Park closed.
