Verizon customers reported network outages nationwide on September 30, with many iPhone users saying their phones were stuck in SOS mode. This is a huge problem for many people trying to work and live their lives on Mondays, and it is unclear when the problem will be resolved.

Verizon has not made clear how long this will take.

“We are aware of an issue impacting service for some customers,” the company’s X customer support account posted around noon Eastern time. “Our technicians are engaged and we are working quickly to identify and resolve the issue.”

Hours have passed and people are reportedly still experiencing the same problem. Down Detector continues to exhibit a large number of user-reported issues. The Verizon account responses also seem to indicate that many people are still experiencing issues and no fix has been rolled out yet.
