When is Andy Murray playing at the Olympic Games in Paris?

Andy Murray earned another match at the final tournament of his career after saving five match points in an incredible opening win alongside Dan Evans in the men’s Olympic doubles.

Murray continued his career in extraordinary style as he and Evans produced an incredible escape act to beat Japan’s Kei Nishikori and Taro Daniel in a deciding tiebreak, 2-6 7-6 (7-5) (11/9).

Murray, 37, who has confirmed he will play the final tournament of his career after withdrawing from the singles event at Paris 2024, said the victory was one of his most memorable comebacks.

“I don’t think I’ve ever saved five match points in a row,” Murray said. “In singles that’s almost impossible, so I don’t think I’ve ever done that before.”

Murray and Evans will play against the Belgian duo Sander Gille and Joran Vliegen, who were not seeded in the draw.
