What Damian Priest Did To Gunther After WWE Ended Raw Abruptly – FirstSportz

Gunther cornered against Finn Balor on the go-home SummerSlam episode of Raw. In a first-ever encounter, The Ring General choked out his opponent to secure the win. However, he wasn’t done inflicting pain on Balor, as he continued to apply the hold. As such, Damian Priester came out to save his Judgment Day teammate. A brawl ensued between the two wrestlers as the Syfy feed was interrupted and the show went off the air.

After the feed abruptly ended, fan footage online showed Priest standing tall after choking his rival through the announcer’s table. This has undoubtedly become one of the most anticipated bouts of this year’s SummerSlam. Despite initial fan skepticism, Gunther and Priest managed to generate interest in their feud in the weeks leading up to Saturday.

The king of the ring saw his opponent not only as a “unworthy” champion, but he also called him “street trash.” It’s clear that the World Heavyweight Champion didn’t take this kindly. Last week, the two men brawled all over the arena, having to be separated by officials and security. After Gunther insulted the entirety of Judgment Day, El Campeon had enough of the #1 contender and launched an attack on him.

It goes without saying that Damian Priest will want revenge after weeks of Gunther disrespecting him and his faction. Furthermore, this will likely be his toughest challenge since winning the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania.

Finn Balor finally fought Gunther on Raw after years of waiting for dream match

A few months ago, Finn Balor extended his WWE contract. In an interview, Balor stated that he wants to continue dominating in the coming period. Most notably, The Prince spoke extensively about his dream opponent, Gunther.

Balor claimed that The Ring General was the best wrestler in the world. He also said that he was interested in facing him in the future. The former Universal Champion also revealed that there were plans for him to face the Austrian at an NXT show in Dublin before the pandemic scuppered plans for the event.

For the past few weeks, fans have felt like the dream match was inevitable. After Gunther insulted The Judgement Day, Balor vowed to defeat the record-breaking champion all by himself last night. However, the former Bullet Club member failed to do so and paid the price.
