UFC 306 provided many unforgettable images from the Sphere in Las Vegas. With the unique shape of the venue and floor to ceiling LED screens, the decor was inspiring and gave fans and media some of the most memorable scenery ever seen at a UFC event.

The theme of the evening was “Noche UFC,” in honor of Mexico’s Independence Day. In addition to featuring fighters of Mexican heritage in every bout except the main event, a Merab Dvalishvili bout with Sean O’Malley, the UFC produced some awe-inspiring footage between fights on the main card.

There were also more static backgrounds for the fights, which looked like they were pulled straight out of a Mayan-themed video game. The Sphere features the largest LED screen in the world and was no small price to pay for the UFC, which reportedly paid $20 million for the high-tech venue.

In addition to Dvalishvili’s victory, highlights included a war between Esteban Ribovics and Daniel Zellhuber, with Ribovics winning, and a masterclass by Valentina Shevchenko to regain her women’s flyweight belt from Alexa Grasso. Shevchenko pitched a shutout, keeping Grasso on the mat for more than half the match.
