By almost any measure, Colorado football’s first offensive drive of the 2024 season couldn’t have gone much better. The Buffs got true freshman Drelon Miller into the game early and held quarterback Shedeur Sanders to his feet before Travis Hunter capped the six-play drive with a 41-yard touchdown catch.

Hunter, an early Heisman Trophy candidate, received Sanders’ pass at about the North Dakota State 37-yard line, easily eluded Bison cornerback Marcus Sheppard and entered the end zone untouched for Colorado’s first score of the year.

It was Hunter’s sixth touchdown of his career at Colorado.
