    Travis Hunter and the Colorado Buffaloes are back.

    On the first drive of the Buffaloes’ 2024 season opener against North Dakota State on Thursday night, quarterback Shedeur Sanders connected with Hunter for a 41-yard touchdown to give Colorado a 7-3 lead.

    Fans, including LeBron James, quickly took to social media to promote the touchdown.

    The score was a great start to Hunter’s second season with the Buffaloes.

    The two-way standout made 57 catches for 721 yards and five touchdowns on offense in 2023, while also recording 30 tackles and three interceptions at cornerback. That individual success didn’t translate into much team success, however, as Colorado went 4-8.

    The Buffaloes return to the Big 12 in 2024 and hope to emerge as a contender in a wide-open conference. The first step, however, is securing a win over the FCS powerhouse Bison.
