TNF: Buffalo Bills @ Miami Dolphins Live Thread & Game Information

Our Miami Dolphins play their second game of the 2024 season tonight against their division rivals, the Buffalo Bills. While this is a short week for the Phins, it should be to Miami’s advantage that they haven’t traveled yet and will be hosting tonight’s game. While Miami is fresh off a 20-17 home win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Bills are also coming off a 34-28 home win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

The Dolphins have been more or less owned by the Bills for the past few years. A win tonight would go a long way toward winning the division this year and making a point to the rest of the world that Miami is no longer an afterthought, but the team to beat in the AFC East. The Dolphins have lost 13 of their last 15 games against the Bills and some of the injuries, most notably to Raheem Mostert and Devon Achane, won’t help the effort, but the Phins need a win tonight to flip the script going forward.

—My choice: Miami Dolphins to cover. Miami comes with an offense that struggled in Week 1 but seemed to find its groove in the second half, as did its defense. The Bills, who also won at home last Sunday, gave up 28 points to an Arizona Cardinals team and an offense that most don’t think is very good. Buffalo will also be without its slot corner, a weakness that Tua and the Dolphins will be eager to exploit tonight.
