‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ star dies at age 70

Ken Page, the voice of Oogie Boogie in the animated Disney film ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’, has died at the age of 70.

No details have been released about the announced.

Radio Times reports that Page’s friend Dorian Hannaway announced the news with a social media post.

“Ken Page is through to the next show. My heart is broken,” the statement said.

Page, a stage performer and voice actor, recently appeared on stage this summer for a production of “Les Misérables,” according to CBR.

He was also known for his portrayal of ancient Deuteronomy in ‘Cats’.

Page made his Broadway debut in ‘The Wiz’ and has appeared in several of Broadway’s best-known films, including:

  • “Boys and Dolls”
  • “It’s not misbehaving”
  • “The Wizard of Oz”
  • “Jesus Christ Superstar”
  • “Small shop full of horrors”
