DJ Uiagalelei transferred from Oregon State to Florida State in hopes of improving his chances of being selected in the 2025 NFL Draft. The traveled quarterback, who began his career at Clemson, hasn’t gotten off to a great start in that quest.

After a shaky opening game in Florida State’s season-opening loss to Georgia Tech, the bottom really fell out for Uiagalelei in the Seminoles’ game against Boston College on Labor Day night. His first half against the Eagles was one for the ages, namely the Dark Ages.

Uiagalelei completed the half 8-of-21, with at least seven of the incompletions a result of poorly aimed throws. That’s been a consistent problem throughout his lengthy college career, but Uiagalelei struggled so much on the national stage that he’s really captivated the college football and NFL draft communities for all the wrong reasons.

The reaction on social media to Uiagalelei’s bad night, on top of his poor performance in Ireland a week earlier, was very spot on.

Itโ€™s safe to say that the 23-year-old Uiagalelei wonโ€™t be appearing in an early-round mock draft for a while. While producing this piece, Uiagalelei threw an interception that Boston College set up for a short touchdown.
