The 3 Most Important Things We Learned From Bills vs. Jaguars

3 — Everyone eats a feast

It is common knowledge that Buffalo’s offensive motto is an “everybody eats” mentality, where every player gets to contribute.

On Monday, the “everybody eats” style went a step further. Five different players scored touchdowns, and Allen connected with 10 different receivers. It’s the 10th time in team history that the Bills have had 10 players catch; Allen was the QB for five of those performances.

“I think it’s paying off from what we’ve been working on all offseason and training camp, with the ‘everybody eats’ mentality. And again, you might make a certain play, you never know when it’s going to happen and that’s the beauty of it when guys go with it,” Allen said.

Coleman said it’s a huge advantage for the offense to know that every game is different and that everyone can compete at any time.

“The motto – we all eat. So, everybody’s going to eat, everybody’s going to step out and do what they have to do when the ball comes into their hands. So just showing the versatility of our team and showing that we have playmakers,” he said.

McDermott said the ‘everybody eats’ motto has worked because of the involvement of every player.

“I think everyone is just focused on their job and trying to keep it as simple as possible. The guys are doing a really good job of coming to work with a certain focus,” he said.

The Bills now have six different players with a touchdown reception this season, the most in the NFL through the first three weeks of the season.
