Taylor Swift Wore Over $60,000 Worth of Jewelry to Chiefs Game

The Kansas City Chiefs played their NFL season opener against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

The stadium was packed with Chiefs fans, including Swift. The “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” singer was there to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce during a break from the Eras Tour.

Swift has been a regular at Kelce’s games since her NFL debut in September 2023. During the 2023-24 season, she frequently wore Chiefs gear or custom apparel featuring Kelce’s number, 87.

But during Thursday’s match, Swift appeared to fully embrace her WAG status, appearing in designer clothes and expensive jewelry.

Swift wore denim on denim

Swift returned to Arrowhead Stadium, where the Chiefs defeated the Ravens 27-20, in a denim ensemble instead of decked out in Chiefs merchandise, as she did at several games in 2023 to cheer on Kelce.

Styled by her longtime stylist Joseph Cassell Falconer, Swift paired the $1,325 cropped Medusa ’95 Denim Corset Top from Versace with denim shorts from GRLFRND. As of Friday, the shorts retail for $102 at Revolve.

The shorts featured the Giuseppe Zanotti boots she wore with the look, which are currently out of stock on the brand’s website.

The $1,650 boots reached Swift’s thighs, and their maroon hue offered a subtle nod to the Chiefs’ red-and-white colors. Swift also carried Louis Vuitton’s $3,950 Side Trunk Bag.

The expensive denim looked accessible and luxurious, while Swift’s boots resembled a pair she wore in the music video for “Look What You Made Me Do” from “Reputation.”

The outfit was lavishly decorated with designer labels, and if you take a closer look at Swift’s ensemble, you’ll see that her jewelry also has a luxurious feel.

The outfit contained jewelry worth more than $60,000

Swift mixed jewelry from different designers and also donned a friendship bracelet she received from a fan during the game.

Perhaps the most striking piece she wore was her vintage 1970s bronze coin necklace by For Future Reference, which retails exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman and retails for $12,750.

Randi Molofsky, founder of For Future Reference, told Business Insider that the brand collaborated with Falconer on the look.

“We were fortunate enough to work directly with Taylor’s go-to stylist, Joseph Cassell Falconer, on last night’s look for Taylor,” Molofsky said. “He came to us specifically for the vintage coin necklace because he really had a vision for that bold, glamorous ’70s style to pair with the denim-on-denim and over-the-thigh boot.”

“I loved this new glam direction for Taylor and I really think it works perfectly with the vintage chain — and the ’70s disco/Italian resort style,” Molofsky added. “I also love seeing her embrace vintage because it’s a great reminder that these pieces are both beautiful nods to the past and heirlooms that will stand the test of time.”

The most expensive piece Swift wore was the Ruby Impetus Interlocking Puzzle Ring from Retrouvaí. According to the brand’s website, the rings are one-of-a-kind and retail for $29,100. Swift paired them with the $4,800 Ruby Cocoon Ring from Howl.

Her Three Row Cleo bracelet by Lizzie Mandler was also pricey: $13,200.

Molofsky told BI that Falconer initially asked For Future Reference for additional yellow gold coins.

“He also wanted to try other yellow gold options, which led him to the Lizzie Mandler bracelet and the HOWL ruby ring (a nod to the Chiefs’ color, I assume),” Molofsky said.

Swift’s earrings were more affordable compared to the rest of her jewelry. She wore the $850 Diamond Mini Huggie & Prong Set Chain Stud Earring from EF Collection and the $590 Single Long Love Explosion Starburst Charm earrings from Three Stories Jewelry.

Swift’s jewelry for the competition cost a whopping $61,290, and the entire outfit cost $68,317.

The Eras Tour doesn’t resume until October 18, so Swift can spend the next month attending Chiefs games and showing off more of her WAG style.
