This role is a key contributor and stakeholder in maintaining and managing our daily, monthly and annual Payfac activities, KYC/AML and risk portfolio, building resource material and providing backup to the Compliance Officer. Responsible for all payments activities, launching new projects/migrations internally with the PMO team, leading cross-functional team meetings on behalf of the payments team and implementing policies and procedures that mitigate risk while improving overall performance.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Serve as an SME employee for WorkWave Payments (WWP) with daily and monthly support, account management, and sales teams.
  • Act as a backup to the AML Compliance Officer to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Perform detailed analysis of payment-related data.
  • Create and maintain evolving KYC/AML acceptance policies and procedures.
  • Active member of the fraud team and communication with other teams regarding next steps.
  • Review daily output for suspicious transactions and contact affected clients immediately to determine if fraud or other irregularities have occurred.
  • Create and maintain company policies and procedures for business acquisitions/ownership changes related to WWP to ensure accurate 1099 tax filing.
  • Collaborate with teams to create process maps for business operations.
  • Process payments and participate in operational and financial audits.
  • Lead internal and external audits.
  • Support the VP and Senior Manager in migration planning.
  • Work with PMO for cross-functional process related support.
  • Assist in successfully completing KYC audits and annual PCI certifications.
  • Identify specific issues and applicable trends impacting WorkWave Payments operations and WorkWave product strategies – to support defining product/solution requirements with the Product Owner and business priorities with the Payments Director.
  • Oversee daily transaction monitoring and acceptance.
  • Review monthly rate changes, rate adjustments, MID closeouts and MID reconciliation.
  • Coordinate with the Finance department to ensure that WWP costs are invoiced accurately and on time.
  • Approve and review changes to bank accounts and the company’s bank change policy.
  • Coordinate monthly price increases between Infinicept, Salesforce and the sales team.
  • Maintain and evaluate relationships with suppliers.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Preference for BA/BS degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with Payfac platforms, background in card/ACH/RTP/alternative payment processing, data management (in Salesforce and/or equivalent), payment data analytics, software integration orientation
  • Experience with Slack, Confluence, JIRA, Excel, Google/MS Suite, Salesforce (or equivalent)
  • Preference: Compliance (BSA/KYC/AML), Wireframes, Basic knowledge of API technology
  • Ability to resolve gaps/issues in software and payment platform and process
  • Ability to escalate issues to work with customer service as needed
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to be flexible and adaptable
