Good news for Shannon Sharp …the viral video of his Wednesday afternoon adventure won’t affect his day-to-day work — since TMZ Sport has learned that ESPN will not punish its star for his accidental sex stream.

A source at the network told us… Sharpe’s absence from “First Take” on Thursday had nothing to do with what happened on his Instagram 24 hours ago, as his usual days off are Thursday and Friday.

The source says Sharpe is expected back on Monday and will not face any punishment.

Sharpe, who has been with ESPN since 2023, recently signed a contract extension to remain with the network. In June, he agreed to continue debating Stephen A. Smith to be seen on “First Take” in the near future.

As for Sharpe’s stance on the whole X-rated scene… he initially claimed on his Instagram account that he had been hacked, but on Wednesday night on his show “Nightcap” he admitted it was him.

He indicated that the whole problem was due to the fact that he was not very tech-savvy, and said he felt “ashamed” about it.
