Sean O’Malley slams Conor McGregor: ‘I think I beat him in a fight’

“Suga” Sean O’Malley has often said that he plans to become as big as Conor McGregor. Maybe that will happen by beating Conor McGregor in the cage.

O’Malley has always shown great respect for McGregor and his accomplishments, but the relationship between the two began to sour after “The Notorious” attacked boxer Ryan Garcia for failing a drug test for Ostarine, while he threw “Suga” with stray dogs for similar offenses.

Sean tested positive for Ostarine in 2018, and while he initially thought it was a tainted supplement, he now has a different theory. New research published on Ostarine shows that athletes can test positive if they are exposed to the sweat of someone taking the performance-enhancing drug. When O’Malley shared that article, McGregor teased him again.

And now “Suga” wants to fight.

“I was kind of going on a rampage, I was excited about my Ostarine rant because I was like, ‘Haha, finally, it’s been four years, this is how it happened,'” O’Malley said on the TimboSugaShow (via MMA Fighting ). “And Conor does his little f—ing bump and puts on a smiley face (emoji). Oh, that one kind of freaked me out. I was like, ‘Really, mother f—er? This is science. I posted the science page, it was in writing, the science was good. People were like, ‘Damn, that’s real.'”

It’s legit. A growing body of research confirms all sorts of wild ways Ostarine can “leak” from one person to another. Just kissing and sleeping in the same bed with someone who’s on Ostarine is enough to make you test positive. O’Malley goes for the “sweating during a workout” kind of thing, but we’re going to say it.

“I think Conor deleted the tweet, but I just kind of freaked out. I was just in my — it was that Monday that (my cow) Tammy died. I was in Vegas waiting in my hotel room to go to my faceoffs (for UFC Noche), had some extra time, and I took out my Twitter phone and Twitter fingers turned into Twitter fingers, and I tweeted it. He’s a jealous bitch, that’s what it is. On drugs.”

Despite McGregor fighting in the 170-pound class and O’Malley being the 135-pound champion, “Suga” is confident he can handle Mac in a fight.

“Conor is probably 190, right? 185?” he asked. “In the UFC, when I look at it, I’m like, OK, I’m realistic. I’m 155, 160. Weight classes are there for a reason, but I’m not going to trip these guys up. I’m going to trip Conor up because I believe I can beat Conor in a fight. I’m not just saying that. I think I can beat Conor in a fight style-wise.”

“Not an easy fight. But I wouldn’t challenge anyone if I didn’t think I could beat him in a fight. I think I beat Conor in a fight. Right now. He’s fat, but he’s short.”

McGregor started in the UFC as a featherweight, and his next welterweight fight is against long-standing lightweight Michael Chandler. So it remains to be seen whether he is truly a functional welterweight and not just too lazy to cut weight.

With the UFC 306 Sphere show set to propel O’Malley to superstardom (if he can defeat Merab Dvalishvili), we don’t think the UFC is going to let a few pounds deter them from staging a fight between two of their biggest draws. They just have to win their next fights first.
