Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Arrested in NYC in Sex Trafficking Investigation

Embattled rapper and hip-hop musician Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested Monday night in New York City as part of a federal investigation into sex trafficking allegations, his attorney and sources said.

It’s unclear what charges the fallen star will face, but the New York Times reported that the arrest followed a grand jury indictment.

Combs has also been accused of a long string of domestic abuse against his former partner, R&B singer Cassie Ventura. She sued him in November and the couple quickly settled. But a disturbing video of him attacking Ventura in a hotel hallway in 2016 recently resurfaced — prompting a new round of backlash.

Combs’ Beverly Hills home was also searched by Homeland Security about six months ago. It’s unclear what agents were looking for during the March raid, but it was reportedly part of a sex trafficking investigation.

A source said the hip-hop mogul has fully cooperated and voluntarily came to New York in preparation for the charges.

“We are disappointed with the decision to prosecute Mr. Combs, which we believe is an unjust prosecution by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Sean “Diddy” Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man and proven philanthropist who has spent the past 30 years building an empire, adoring his children and working to uplift the Black community,” Combs’ attorney Marc Agnifilo said in a statement.

  • According to sources told The Post, authorities have raided the rapper’s homes to seize phones and computers.
  • At least four Jane Does and one John Doe have been questioned by prosecutors in New York in connection with sex trafficking allegations and a RICO case, sources told Rolling Stone.
  • Combs’ ex-girlfriend Cassie (Cassandra Ventura) filed a lawsuit against him in November 2023, alleging multiple allegations, including rape and physical abuse over a decade.
  • Combs and Cassie settled the lawsuit the day after she filed it.
  • In November 2023, the rapper was accused of drugging, filming, and sexually assaulting a woman during a date in 1991.
  • A third woman filed a lawsuit against the celebrity in November 2023, alleging that he and singer-songwriter Aaron Hall took turns sexually abusing her and a friend in the early 1990s.
  • In December 2023, Combs was indicted for a fourth time on sexual abuse charges. He and others were accused of abusing a 17-year-old girl in his New York recording studio, drugging her and plying her with alcohol.

To his credit, Mr. Combs has been nothing but cooperative with this investigation and voluntarily relocated to New York last week in anticipation of these charges. Please reserve judgment until you have all the facts. These are the actions of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”
