Penn State’s defense gave up a touchdown on the game’s opening drive and little else after that as the Nittany Lions defeated Illinois 21-7 on Saturday night. PSU’s defense strengthened and held the Illini to 219 yards while forcing two turnovers in the fourth quarter that sealed the game.

On offense, PSU rushed for 239 yards with Kaytron Allen leading the way with 102 on 18 carries and a touchdown.
