Saturday’s Game Day Guide – Florida Atlantic University Athletics

BOCA RATON, Florida — Florida Atlantic hosts Army West Point at Howard Schnellenberger Field in FAU Stadium on Saturday in the American Athletic Conference opener for both programs. The game starts at 12 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.

Saturday is Military Appreciation Day with a number of activities and actions planned in and around the stadium to honor those who have served or are actively serving our nation. Active and retired military personnel can still take advantage of a free ticket offer by clicking here.

Tickets for the general public start at $20 and can be purchased here or by calling 1-866-FAU-OWLS. Ticket prices increase on the day of the game. To avoid lines and higher fees, purchase your tickets in advance. Tickets for FAU students are free and can be claimed by clicking here.

To avoid crowds at the gates, fans are encouraged to download their tickets digitally to a smartphone or mobile device.

Fans should arrive early, as pre-game festivities begin approximately 30 minutes before kickoff. Paratroopers arrive to deliver the game ball, followed by a performance by the Marching Owls and the national anthem by local artist Aileen Rosario, with a giant American flag on the field.

Other events during the game include a recognition of the ServePro Hometown Hero of the Game, 95-year-old Delray Beach resident Lou Shimkin, who served in the Korean War. A military swearing-in ceremony will take place during halftime, while a lineup of military vehicles will be parked in the Fan Zone near Gates 1 and 2.

Tailgating can begin when parking lots open at 8am (four hours before kickoff), and don’t miss the first Owl Walk of the year at 9:30am at the new 2024 location – as the team unloads the buses and walks through the Student Tailgates in Lot 5 before the team enters. Click here to pre-purchase a parking space.

General stadium gates open at 10:30 a.m., with some premium gates opening earlier. FAU Stadium has a Clear Bag Policy. The National Guard will be stationed in the Fan Zone to hand out 2,000 clear bags on Saturday.
