Saints QB Derek Carr leaves Monday night’s loss to Chiefs early with an oblique injury

Derek Carr’s performance on Monday night ended with just over six minutes of playing time.

Carr left for the locker room with an oblique injury during the New Orleans Saints’ 26–13 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

After the game, head coach Dennis Allen had no update, only stating that it was an injury to Carr’s left side.

Initially considered doubtful to return, Carr never returned while backup Jake Haener closed out the night.

Carr was 18 of 28 for 165 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. He was sacked just once, but was hit eight times and pressured on 51.7% of his dropbacks.
