In that time, however, the last man out has become the 2025 Ryder Cup captain and is now playing some great golf. After claiming his third victory in the last two years at this weekend’s BMW Championship (along with the 2022 Zozo Championship and 2023 Travelers Championship), the 38-year-old has a real shot at becoming the Ryder Cup captain and could even sneak into the Presidents Cup this fall.

He’s playing such good golf that he’s now outshining some of the potential stars in next summer’s Ryder Cup team. It goes without saying that when the coach outshines the players, you know their game is good.

With his three wins in the last two seasons, Bradley defeated recent Ryder Cup players Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Patrick Cantlay and Collin Morikawa, all of whom were on the 2023 Ryder Cup roster at Bradley’s expense.

Fowler has one of those, with the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic, and Collin Morikawa dominated the field by six strokes at the 2023 Zozo Championship. Spieth, JT and Cantlay still have some work to do, with the latter two in the Tour Championship field this week alongside Bradley.

It’s not like Keegan Bradley has been Mr. Consistent this season, with T-46, T-22 and T-59 finishes heading into Castle Pines, but if he’s near the top of the standings, he’s gotten the job done. Will that continue at Bethpage Black? We’ll find out next fall, perhaps with Bradley coaching and teeing off.
