Rewind of everything Hugh Freeze said after Auburn’s 31-13 loss to Georgia

Auburn suffered its fourth loss of the season on Saturday afternoon, falling 31-13 to Georgia.

The Tigers showed flashes at times, but were never able to take control of the game away from Georgia. The loss is the Tigers’ eighth consecutive loss to Georgia.

This is what Hugh Freeze said immediately after the match:

  • Freeze begins by saying: “Disappointing season, and today is another step not in the direction we had hoped.
  • Freeze says on the fourth down where Auburn was stopped in the fourth quarter, it had to be a hand to Jarquez Hunter.
  • Freeze: “We’re going to turn it around and we’re going to find those who want to fight for 60 minutes.”
  • Freeze said on fourth-and-1 that Payton Thorne “definitely didn’t fit what we called.”
  • Freeze says of the two redzone field goals that there wasn’t much thought about going for it on the first one, but they did consider going for it on the second attempt in the fourth quarter.
  • Freeze gives credit to Hunter who had 91 yards on 13 carries.
  • Freeze: “I can’t say enough about Keldric Faulk and the leader he is and the man he is.” Adds that Faulk will benefit from the bye week after playing so many snaps.
