The 42nd annual Redlands Community Hospital Foundation Golf Classic raised $220,000 for the hospital’s new radiation therapy center.

More than 140 golfers took part in the event, which took place on June 20 at Redlands Country Club.

Redlands Community Hospital will build the new Radiation Oncology Center at 245 Terracina Blvd., across the street from the hospital. The center, expected to open in early 2026, will house a linear accelerator machine along with space for a new PET/CT scanner, according to a news release.

The golf tournament also included a dinner, raffles and an auction where guests could bid on items such as tickets to the Los Angeles Angels behind home plate, donated by Tim Rochford and the Rochford Foundation, and a whiskey tasting, donated by Bob Driessnack, board member of the Redlands Community Hospital Foundation.

Nearly 100 sponsors supported the event and Redlands’ Hatfield Buick was once again the outright winner, earning a chance to win a three-year lease on a GMC Hummer EV.

“We would like to thank everyone, from participants, volunteers and sponsors, who attended our largest fundraiser of the year to benefit our new Radiation Oncology Center,” said Bengt Gustavsson, president of the Redlands Community Hospital Foundation, in the press release.
