The Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) auction is scheduled to take place on August 15 and 16. The mega auction will be held for the 11th season of PKL in Mumbai.

New Delhi: Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) has completed its 10th season and will be holding a mega auction ahead of its 11th season. Mashal Sports will be holding the player auction in Mumbai. The auction will be held over two days: 15th and 16th August. PKL recently celebrated its 10th anniversary on 26th July 2024.

Mashal Sports also unveiled PKL’s new logo ahead of Season 11. The logo uses the same colours as our flag, portraying the sport as our proud sport and connecting people.

The PKL auction has seen the highest bidder win in every auction as Pawan Sehrawat remains the most expensive buy-in in PKL history at 2.26 crores in 2022 and then sold for 2.6 crores in 2023. The Raiders remain popular in the auction except in season 6, all the most expensive buys are Raiders in the auction history. It will be a historic day in PKL history as many Indians became crorepatis in the PKL auction. PKL also became the most successful sports league to complete 10 years after the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The PKL Season 11 auction will be broadcast live on Star Sports Network and Disney+Hotstar.

When does the PKL season 11 auction start?

The PKL Season 11 auction will start on August 15 and 16 at 6:30 PM IST in Mumbai.

How many franchises are participating in the auction?

There are 12 franchises participating in the PKL season 11 auction: Bengaluru Bulls, U Mumba, Puneri Paltan, Bengal Warriors, Jaipur Pink Panthers, Patna Pirates, Telugu Titans, Dabang Delhi, Gujarat Giants, UP Yoddha, Haryana Steelers and Tamil Thalaivas.

Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 10 Auction

Pawan Sehrawat was the most expensive buy in the PKL 10 auction as he was sold for Rs 2.6 crore, five players including Pawan sold for Rs 1 crore plus in which Fazel Atrachali, an Iranian defender was sold for Rs 1.6 crore and Maninder Singh was sold for Rs 2.12 crore. Players were divided into four categories A, B, C and D.
