Pete Alonso thrills Mets crowd with Game 3 NLDS home run

Pete Alonso has done it again.

The Mets slugger crushed a second-inning solo homer off the Phillies’ Aaron Nola on Tuesday to give the Mets a 1-0 lead in Game 3 of the NLDS, sending the 40,000-plus fans at Citi Field into a frenzy.

Alonso pounded the first pitch of the half inning 350 feet to right field – and off the second deck signage at an impressive 110 mph (173 km/h).
