Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, Final Medals Standings: India Finishes in 18th Place with Seven Gold Medals, China Tops with 94 Gold Medals

India achieved its best-ever performance at the Paralympic Games by finishing 18th in the medal tally at the 17th edition, which concluded in Paris on Sunday.

India won seven gold, nine silver and thirteen bronze medals, its highest ever tally in a single edition of the Paralympic Games.

China finished on top with 220 medals, including 94 gold. Great Britain finished second with 49 gold medals, while the US took third place with 36 gold medals.

For India, Avani Lekhara (women’s 10m air rifle standing SH1) and Sumit Antil (men’s javelin F64) defended their Tokyo 2020 titles, while Harvinder Singh (men’s recurve open individual), Nitesh Kumar (men’s singles SL3), Dharambir (men’s club throw F51), Praveen Kumar (men’s high jump T64) and Navdeep Singh (men’s javelin F41) also topped the podium.
