Oasis ‘ready for Glastonbury headliner and record-breaking Wembley reunion in 2025’

The wait for an Oasis reunion seems to be over, with reports suggesting a big comeback is planned for next summer.

Just weeks after it was claimed the Britpop band had planned three concerts at Wembley Stadium, summer only to fall through, now it looks like they’ll be taking the stage next year instead.

And what better way to do that than during the biggest festival of all: Glastonbury Festival.

An industry source told The Mail: “All the speculation about this reunion can get a bit tiresome. But there is a genuine feeling that next summer’s Glastonbury will be too tempting for Liam and Noel to turn down.

“They have been notified of the headline position that is open to them for next summer. Now it is up to them.”

While The Times reports that major concerts are planned for Manchester’s Heaton Park and Wembley Stadium.

There are even whispers that they could play 10 shows in the English singer’s home country footballsurpassing Taylor Swift’s eight Eras Tour dates this summer.

Although brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher regularly make vitriolic comments towards each other in the media, the latter was surprisingly complimentary about his younger brother in a video celebrating the 30th anniversary of their influential album Definitely Maybe.

He said, “When I sang a song, it sounded good. When he sang it, it sounded great.”

A major stumbling block to a reunion was always the icy relationship between Noel’s wife Sarah MacDonald and Liam.

But now that she and Noel are separated, the brothers can heal old wounds without outside interference, and the mega money it might help with a precious parting settlement.

Liam and Noel had a falling out in 2009. Noel left just hours before the band were due to perform.

Both have since gone on to have successful solo careers, but fans have always vocally called for the duo to bury the hatchet.
