The National Weather Service issued an updated freeze warning at 8:33 p.m. Tuesday, effective 11 p.m. through 9 a.m. Wednesday for Wallowa County.

The weather service describes it as follows: “Temperatures below freezing are expected, with a maximum of 30 degrees.”

“Frost and freezing conditions can kill crops and other sensitive vegetation and potentially damage unprotected outdoor utilities,” the weather service adds. “Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.”
