Skateboarder Nyjah Huston won a bronze medal for the United States at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, wearing his own Nike shoes, the Nike SB Nyjah 3.

Huston reached the podium alongside fellow American skateboarder Jagger Eaton, who won silver, and Japanese skateboarder Yuto Horigome, who won the gold medal.

At the competition in Paris, Huston represented Team USA in a matching set from Nike. In a patriotic shade of navy, the monochromatic outfit featured shorts and a button-down collared shirt with the Nike Swoosh and a small American flag on the front; extra personality was shown on the back with a whimsical design of a bird playing the saxophone. The first-time Olympic medalist completed the look with a matching accessory, a baseball cap with an American flag on it.

While Huston and Eaton both wore red, white and blue Nike Air Max Dn sneakers to the medal ceremony as part of their official Team USA uniforms, Huston wore a special version of his signature Nike SB Nyjah 3 shoe to show off his skills on the ramp. The low-top skate shoe utilizes Nike’s Zoom Air technology on the heel, while the “honeycomb outsole” is described by the brand as “grippy yet featherlight.” The shoe comes in ten different colorways at slightly varying price points, with the lowest price coming in at $110 — though several pairs are currently on sale for 40% off at Nike.

Huston wore a unique colorway of his signature shoe — one of the Safari designs created in honor of the Olympics. The back portion of the sneaker is adorned with a black-and-white animal print; the shoe’s orange inner lining also peeks out, adding to the wildlife design.

Huston’s second signature shoe, the Nike SB Nyjah Free 2, hit the market in two colorways in 2020, following the release of the Nyjah Free in 2018. The 29-year-old athlete first signed a deal with Nike Skateboarding in 2015.
