AT&T issues statement

In response to complaints on social media about network outages, AT&T told FOX TV Stations that they are “working to resolve a software issue that may impact the ability of a limited number of our customers to connect to our wireless network.”

“Keeping our customers connected is our top priority, so we appreciate their patience as we work to resolve this issue.”

They further confirmed that “FirstNet customers are not impacted.”

In the event of a 911 interruption, it is essential to have a backup plan to reach emergency services. People should attempt to call their local police, fire, or ambulance departments directly if they are unable to reach 911. They can also text 911 or alert authorities via social media.
