The New York Jets hit the road today to take on the Tennessee Titans in Nashville, Tennessee. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. EDT.

The Jets were badly outclassed to open the season last week. The San Francisco 49ers dominated in the trenches on both sides of the ball en route to a blowout 32-19 49ers victory that wasn’t as close as the score would suggest. One particular concern was the Jets run defense, which was barely there against a formidable 49ers running game.

Now the Jets are 0-1 as they head to Nashville to take on the 0-1 Titans. The Titans had a dominant defensive performance against the Chicago Bears, wasted by a terrible performance from quarterback Will Levis and the Titans offense. Now both teams are a bit desperate for a win, as history has not been kind to teams that start the season with two losses.

The Jets need the defense to step up against a Titans offense, which shouldn’t be much of a challenge, and they need Aaron Rodgers and the offense to play a solid game against a good Titans defense. This Jets team entered this season with high expectations. Now would be a good time to start delivering.

It’s an important game for both teams, the Jets and the Titans.
