Kylian Mbappe rested for France against Belgium – report

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé will be rested for France’s second and final match of the international break against Belgium, according to L’Equipe’s Loïc Tanzi.

Mbappé has not suffered any injuries, reportedly a simple action to protect the player, even at this stage of the season.

Mbappe played for France in the rather disappointing 3-1 defeat to Italy, playing the full 90 minutes and struggling to make a significant impact.

Mbappe getting a rest is good news for Real Madrid, as it significantly reduces the risk of injury or excessive fatigue for one of their key players.

Real Madrid have had a number of injuries or knocks to their players during the international break so far, and they will be hoping to avoid more in the coming week. Having Mbappe on the bench is definitely good for all parties involved, and it seems Didier Deschamps agrees.
