Kathryn Hahn’s nudity in ‘Agatha All Along’ drew quite a bit of backlash from Marvel boss Kevin Feige

It was a bold choice by Disney.

The first episode of “Agatha All Along,” streaming now on Disney+, features one of the few instances of nudity in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In one scene, Agatha (Kathryn Hahn) runs around naked, her bare ass visible on screen, a shocker in the notoriously prudish, proper world of Marvel.

It’s the only time a photo of his backside has been taken in the 16 years since the MCU began with 2008’s “Iron Man,” aside from a brief glimpse of Chris Hemsworth’s butt in the 2022 film “Thor: Love and Thunder.”

“Agatha All Along” creator Jac Schaeffer told TV Line on Thursday that Marvel boss Kevin Feige wasn’t initially excited about the scene. He responded to the idea: “Really?”

According to Schaeffer, the scene was originally written with Agatha emerging naked after a spell was cast on her by Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) and then donning a robe.

“And Kathryn came up to me and said something like, ‘Would Agatha stop and get a dress? I have a feeling she would go there naked,'” she recalled, adding that the actress “was totally up for it.”

Feige wasn’t. The Marvel president eventually gave it his approval.

The scene “is so firmly based in character. It’s not exploitative; it’s not sexual,” Schaeffer told the outlet.

She added: “It’s about this witch and what her priorities are. And right now she needs answers and she doesn’t care if she’s naked or not. So yeah, it’s a point of pride for us.”

“Agatha All Along” is a spin-off of the MCU series “WandaVision,” which aired in 2021 and starred Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany. The series followed Wanda and Vision (Bettany) living in suburbia after the events of the 2019 film “Avengers: Endgame.”

Agatha Harkness first appeared on screen in that show, as a witch posing as Agnes, Wanda’s nosy neighbor.

“Agatha All Along” is the 11th series in the MCU, including “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” starring Wyatt Russell and Anthony Mackie, and “Loki,” starring Tom Hiddleston.

The show picks up after the events of “WandaVision,” with Agatha having escaped the suburbs and formed a new coven of witches. Aubrey Plaza plays a role.

“I like a laugh,” Hahn told The Post.

“I was so happy they let me go. I thought, ‘I’ve got to cackle, guys, come on. I know it’s obvious, but we’ve got to have a witch who cackles.'”
