    A historic upset for Northern Illinois against Notre Dame.

    The Northern Illinois Huskies defeated Notre Dame Fighting Irish 14-13 in South Bend for the biggest win in program history. The team was 0-14 against top 10 ranked teams prior to Saturday’s victory.

    Notre Dame is ranked No. 7 in the LBM Coaches Poll, but is expected to drop significantly following the loss.

    The Fighting Irish saw a 62-yard field goal attempt blocked by the Huskies as time expired.
