Sony recently released the PlayStation 30th Anniversary Collection – a retro-styled homage to the original PlayStation. But how much will the PS5 Pro Anniversary Edition cost?

The PS5 Pro is not cheap. We already know it will cost $699.99 when it comes out on November 7th, and this PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Bundle comes with a number of extras that will only drive up the console’s already high price tag.

The PlayStation 5 Pro Console – 30th Anniversary Limited Edition Bundle includes the limited edition PS5 Pro console, a wireless DualSense controller, a DualSense Edge controller, the DualSense charging station, and a console cover for a disc drive (sold separately).

It also comes with a vertical stand, a special original PlayStation controller style cable connector housing, and special collectibles.

Adding up the extras, we know the DualSense Edge will cost $199.99, the DualSense Charging Stand will cost $29.99, the Vertical Stand will cost $29.99, and the console will cost $699.99. It’s unclear how much the disc drive case will cost, as Sony has never sold a case separately before.

Adding all that up brings us to a total price of $959.96. That means Sony will be charging at least $959.99 for the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary bundle.

However, as we initially predicted, the special PS5 Pro will cost more than $999.99. The PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Edition is priced at £959.99, AU$1,649.95 and €1099.99, which means it should cost between $1,100 and $1,200 in the US.

With only 12,300 units available for sale, Sony is hoping the power of nostalgia and exclusivity will ensure the bundle sells out quickly, despite its price tag. It will certainly make the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Collection bundle one of the most expensive console SKUs ever.

It also guarantees that buyers will want to snap up the console, which is already in very limited supply, in the hopes of selling it for a hefty premium to those who missed out.

Pre-orders for the limited edition PlayStation 5 Pro begin on September 26, the same day as the standard PS5 Proalthough you still have to wait a while for the PS5 Pro 30th Anniversary Release Date on November 21st.
