HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) – It’s been a dry September for many of us. Some much-needed rain is coming in from the east today and tomorrow.

HEADINGS:

• Showers, more rain today

DISCUSSION:

We are expecting showers or periods of rain through the mid-morning. The pattern will taper off to just showers into and through the afternoon. We may see some breaks in the clouds to encourage the development of a thunderstorm or two. It will also be a little humid and a little windy. High temperatures will peak between 67° and 74°.

It will be partly sunny and humid on Wednesday. We will also continue with the shower threat. The maxima will rise to between 75° and 80°.

We’re cleaning it up just in time for the Black Gold Festival, and right now we’re giving the forecast “two thumbs up” for the upcoming weekend.
